Frequently asked questions

What does Web Perf measure?

It measures the page from our server in Italy: time to first byte (TTFB), TCP and TLS connection, weight of the document and resources, number of requests, DOM size, render-blocking scripts and CSS, third parties and caching. It analyses the response HTML: JavaScript is not executed.

Why are LCP and CLS not shown?

Those metrics require a browser running the page. For real Core Web Vitals use PageSpeed Insights; Web Perf shows what causes them (blocking scripts, images without dimensions, weight).

Why one analysis every 5 minutes?

Each analysis downloads up to 40 resources, which is heavy for the server. The limit is per IP and keeps the service fast for everyone.
